Inter are working toward taking up their purchase options on wingers Keita Balde and Matteo Politano according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Keita Balde joined Inter on a season long loan from French club Monaco with a €34 million purchase option attached.

Inter wish to keep a hold of the Senegalese attacker, who after a slow start began to find his feet before being sidelined by injury but they do not want to pay the previously agreed sum and are seeking a new agreement with the Ligue 1 outfit.

As for Politano, who joined from fellow Serie A side Sassuolo, Inter have a €20 million purchase option and they have no doubt about wanting to keep him around.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are in discussion to try and lower that fee by including a player in the deal, most likely a young one.

The report from the Milan based newspaper also reports that unless for any unexpected twists, Cedric Soares will return to Southampton at the end of the season and Inter will not take up their €11 million option on him.
