Milan director Paolo Maldini spoke briefly on the Rossoneri’s 3-2 loss to Inter in Sunday’s Derby Della Madonnina.

“When you make mistakes or you lose, it is always a bad feeling but it makes you grow as a man and a footballer,” he explained to the students who attended today’s ‘Sport and values’ event at the Pavesi Sport centre.

The legendary Italian defender, regarded by many as one of the best ever, then spoke on making mistakes.

“The first time I made a mistake I locked myself up at home and I was thinking about my mistakes for days, then I realised that it is part of the game and from there on I learned to better manage how I deal with my mistakes and defeats.”
