Inter have ignited an interest in Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes according to a report from Spanish newspaper Sport.
Gomes is currently on loan at Premier League club Everton from the Catalans and it is understood that the Merseyside outfit are prepared to pay €25 million in order to keep him on a permanent basis.
Inter however have told him and his agent to take their time and wait to see if Inter manage to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
With the revenue that qualification would bring, Inter would be in a position where they would be able to sign the EURO 2016 champion.
Everton however remain confident that they can sign him and will continue to push to sign him ahead of the Summer, knowing that Inter’s hands are currently tied.
Gomes, who is 25-years-old, has made 25 appearances across all competitions for Everton this season and has contributed a single goal and a single assist in just over 1800 minutes on the field.
