Despite alleged interest from a number of clubs, Inter deem star defender Milan Skriniar as an indispensable asset according to a report from FCInterNews.it.
Barcelona and Manchester United are long-term admirers of the Slovakian while Real Madrid, despite recently signing centre back Eder Militao, are also interested in him.
All three are understood to be willing to pay €80 million to take him off of Inter’s hands but Inter have other plans for him, in the shape of a new and improved contract.
Skriniar is currently tied to the Nerazzurri through to the end of the 2021/22 season and talks between the club and his representatives over a new deal have been ongoing for a few months now.
He currently earns €1.7 million a season and is the only starting player to earn under €2 million. There is a shared desire to find an agreement but there is still some distance between the parties. Inter previously offered around €3 million and it cannot be excluded that his salary may be brought in line with fellow defender Stefan de Vrij and the incoming Diego Godin meaning he could earn somewhere between €4-5 million.
