A decision on whether Mauro Icardi will be available for selection for Inter’s next match against Lazio has been delayed until early next week according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
After over a month out with an alleged knee injury, Icardi made a return to training with his teammates during the past week – albeit not at full intensity – and is trying his utmost to ensure he can return to action against the Biancocelesti.
The Rome based newspaper go on to state that Tuesday or Wednesday next week could be the day where a decision is taken about his possible inclusion in the squad for the match that will take place at San Siro.
The 26-year-old last played for Inter on February 9 in the 1-0 win away from home against Parma. This season he has made a total of 28 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored 15 goals and tallied three assists.
