Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed the details of the meeting between Inter owner Jindong Zhang, Inter president Steven Zhang and Inter chief executives Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Alessandro Antonello.

The four had a meeting in Rome, where Zhang Sr. is for the president of China’s official state visit to Italy and there was no mention of the recent Mauro Icardi debacle.

Instead, as per the Milan based newspaper, Zhang Sr. requested an update on how Luciano Spalletti’s team have done and insisted that the main objective should be to finish the season as strongly as possible.

In other words, Champions League qualification is the goal. The money that the competition brings for Inter is significant and will determine how Inter can operate on the transfer market.

Zhang Sr. also shared his desire to see continued financial growth at the club to enable to Inter to cement themselves among the top European clubs.

The stadium issue was also brought up. Jindong Zhang is indifferent as to whether San Siro is renovated or a new stadium is built.

Finally, the quartet spoke on the development of Inter’s training ground and relocation of club headquarters to Porta Nuova at the end of the season.
