Pierpaolo Marino has shared his thoughts on a number of the main talking points concerning Inter at the moment, beginning with the future of manager Luciano Spalletti.

“Luciano Spalletti will stay at Inter if they finish in third place,” he explained in an interview with Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

“If they do not, I know Giuseppe Marotta well enough so it will be Antonio Conte or Max Allegri who will take over.”

Marino then spoke on the future of Mauro Icardi with the Nerazzurri.

“A swap with Paulo Dybala? It would be a big move for the clubs both from a financial and technical point of view.

“Where do I think Icardi will go? Spain, if not, Germany.

“Who was at fault in the recent problems? I tell you one thing. The captain is by definition the one who protects and represents the locker room. If the captain’s wife or the captain’s agent says that the team does not value the captain and he does not dissociate himself, it is normal to create problems. The captain is supposed to be the guide.”

He then spoke on where he thinks some of the most talked about youngsters will play their football next season.

“Chiesa? He will go to Juventus. Zaniolo? He will stay with Roma but won’t stay forever. Barella? Inter. Tonali? Juventus.”

Marino concluded the interview by speaking on who he thinks will qualify for the Champions League aside from Juventus and Napoli.

“Inter and Milan will qualify.”
