Respected journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio has commented on Mauro Icardi’s recent return to Inter training.

“Icardi is training well and that’s something. Now the workload will be increased, then Spalletti will assess what kind of work he will do with the group and whether to include him in the squad for the match against Lazio,” he said in an interview with Sky Sport 24.

He then spoke on how much Icardi is worth now after the recent debacle.

“Prices fluctuate, there is no calculator when it comes to these things. At this time he might not be worth his release clause but we need to understand if someone will be willing to present offers that have never arrived before.”

Di Marzio then discussed the speculation that Juventus are keen on the 26-year-old.

“Paratici has been an admirer of Icardi for several seasons. When he signed Higuain from Napoli, the second choice was Icardi. Maybe the Bianconeri could think about him. Icardi said he loves Inter, I don’t think he’ll call other teams.”
