Diego Godin will replace former Atletico Madrid defensive partner Miranda at Inter this Summer according to a report from Tuttosport.

The Uruguayan centre back has signed a three year contract worth €6.5 million a season with the Nerazzurri and will complete the switch upon the expiry of his current deal with Los Colchoneros at the end of the current season.

34-year-old Miranda’s contract with Inter is due to expire this Summer and he will be let go. The veteran Brazilian, who has proved to be a solid servant in his two and a half years with the club, has saw playing time decreased this season due to the arrival of Stefan de Vrij, who has formed a formidable partnership with Milan Skriniar.

This season he has been limited to just 15 appearances across all competitions for a total of 1121 minutes on the park in which he has helped Inter record six clean sheets.
