Inter made a failed attempt to land Edgar Elizalde from Pescara during the January transfer window according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

In the first half of the season the Uruguayan defender put in a string of impressive performances for the Delfini’s Primavera squad which led to him being promoted to the first team, where he has made one first team appearance in the time since.

Inter and Juventus both ignited an interest in him and the Nerazzurri tried to sign him in January only for the player to turn round and say he did not want to disrupt his current development path at the Serie B outfit where he is under contract through to the end of the 2021/22 season.

Further talks could well take place over the 19-year-old who holds dual-Spanish nationality in the Summer and he will cost at least €8 million to tear away from the Stadio Adriatico team.
