Radja Nainggolan was at Inter’s Angelo Moratti Sports Centre training ground today to partake in some extra training to help him in his recovery from injury according to a report from Sport Mediaset.

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti had given all the players a day of rest but the Belgian is eager to make a return to action as soon as possible having spent the past few weeks out with a calf injury.

The 30-year-old is hopeful that he will be able to be in a good enough physical condition to participate in some fashion against Lazio this weekend.

The report from Sport Mediaset goes on to detail that Mauro Icardi did not join Nainggolan in training despite also needing to recover from injury.

Icardi has not played for the club since February 9 and returned to training with the rest of his teammates at the tail end of last week having spent a number of weeks following a personalised training schedule.
