At this current time, it does not look likely that Mauro Icardi will make a return to action for Inter this weekend against Lazio according to a report from La Repubblica.
The 26-year-old striker made a return to training last Thursday after some 35 days of physiotherapy on his knee and only warmed-up with the team before going on to follow a personalised training schedule with a separate coach.
Fellow injured player Radja Nainggolan showed up at Appiano Gentile yesterday for the optional session aimed at players lacking fitness as he tried to speed up his recovery time ahead of the match against Lazio on Sunday while the Argentine did not.
Reports from other news outlets today have suggested Icardi is officially back in full training but Sunday’s match will seemingly come too soon for him, which does not come as much of a surprise given how long he has been out.
