Respected Italian football journalist Luca Marchetti has commented on what the futures could hold for Federico Chiesa, Mauro Icardi and Nicolo Barella.

The Nerazzurri have a long standing interest in Fiorentina’s Chiesa and Cagliari’s Barella while Icardi’s Inter future is seemingly up in the air following the recent controversy between him, his wife, and agent, Wanda Icardi and the club.

“There is a great competition for Chiesa’s signature,” Marchetti began in an interview with Sky Sport.

Inter aside, Juventus, Roma, Napoli and Milan are all also believed to be interested and that is not mentioning a whole host of clubs outside of Italy who have a reported interest in him.

As per mass media speculation, there are a series of clubs that have an interest in signing Icardi but Marchetti has stressed that “Icardi has too high a salary” which suggests that some clubs may be priced out of a move for him.

As for Barella, Marchetti concluded by stating: “Barella will go abroad.”
