Inter and Milan Skriniar agreed to a contract extension back in January but as yet official confirmation has been lacking and Gazzetta dello Sport report that this is down to agents.

Skriniar has agreed to prolong his contract through to the end of the 2022/23 season but he is currently in the process of changing agents which has led the official announcement being delayed.

The Milan based newspaper go on to report that contract renewal talks with Mauro Icardi and his representatives are on stand-by after the recent events.

Prior to the controversy that has taken place in recent weeks, Inter were in talks with Icardi and his wife, and agent, Wanda Icardi over a new and improved deal.

In fact, Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta promised that he would offer Icardi an extension through to the end of the 2022/23 season.

Given what has happened lately, it remains to be seen if they will ever kick-start again.
