Piero Ausilio is ready to agree to a contract extension for a further two or three seasons according to a report from Il Giorno.
The Inter sporting director’s current deal with the club is due to expire at the end of next season but this renewal will put rumours of a dispute between himself and chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta completely to bed.
Il Giorno report that the pair continue to work in great harmony with one another as they plan ahead for the Summer transfer window.
This has seen Ausilio make several trips across Europe to take a look at a number of players that they could potentially sign to help strengthen the team.
Ausilio has worked with Inter since 1998 and has been the club’s sporting director since 2014 after he replaced Marco Branca, who he assisted upon being promoted from dealing with the youth sector at the club back in 2010.
