Next week Milanese clubs Inter and Milan will sit down to hold talks over the project they have for the stadium according to a report from Corriere della Sera.

By the end of April, it will be completely clear what the two clubs wish to do whether that be remaining at San Siro and renovating it or building a new shared state-of-the-art ground.

The idea of renovation is losing popularity due to the fact it would take 30 months to renovate the ground, half the time it would take to build a new stadium entirely. If they were to go down the renovation path, they may be forced to play on an active construction site or may even be forced out entirely and will need to find an alternative stadium.

The report from Corriere della Sera goes on to report that a new stadium would meanwhile cost €650 million to construct and could be ready for the 2022/23 season.

Both Inter and Milan would have separate entrances to the ground that would have a 60,000 capacity and there would be space for both of their museums to be hosted in the stadium.
