Mauro Icardi will be back in the squad for Inter’s match with Lazio while Lautaro Martinez’ presence is at risk due to a slight injury according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
Icardi has not played for Inter since February 9 due to a knee injury but returned to full training at the beginning of the week.
Today the 26-year-old is expected to speak with the team, who are now all present after those playing for their national team returned, to discuss the events of the past month or so.
As for Lautaro. The 21-year-old forward was forced off the field in Argentina’s 1-0 victory over Morocco with a slight muscle injury and upon his return to Inter training yesterday he told Inter’s medicals staff that it was still bothering him.
Lautaro was not the only player to pick up an injury over the international break with Stefan de Vrij also picking up an injury and as a result he will miss Sunday’s encounter against his former employers.
