Inter are plotting a Summer move for Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The Nerazzurri are currently not planning on taking up their €11 million purchase option on Cedric Soares which has led to them sparking up an interest in the Albanian.

As per the report, Inter have already met with his representatives twice to discuss a potential move to San Siro this Summer.

Amid Inter’s interest, Napoli are keen to sign the 25-year-old to a new and improved deal. He is currently under contract with the Partenopei through to the end of the 2020/21 season but Napoli wish to extend his contract by a further two years until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Napoli have offered him €2.4 million to extend but he is holding out for closer to €3 million and it is seemingly not easy for this distance to be cut.

This season he has made 29 appearances across all competitions in which he has tallied two assists in 2191 minutes on the park.
