Inter and Milan hope to make an announcement on their plans for the stadium by the end of April according to a report from Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

It currently looks like the two clubs will leave San Siro and go down the route of building a new state-of-the-art stadium.

The Milanese clubs are to soon meet with the Milan city council to showcase their plans for the stadium issue and some more work may need to be done in order to meet the demands of Milan mayor Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Sala.

The new stadium, which will be built on the car park at the current ground, will cost approximately €600 million to construct and will have a capacity of around 60,000. Part of the stadium could be underground to reduce the potential noise impact. Construction of the new ground would take at least two and a half years to complete.
