Inter and Tottenham Hotspur could be set to battle over upcoming free agent Max Kruse according to a report from Sky Sport Germany.

The 31-year-old striker is currently on the books of Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen and his contract is due to expire at the end of the current season.

Kruse has been very open on the matter and has insisted that he will not make any decision on his future with the club until the end of the campaign while the club are eager to tie him down to a new deal.

However, Sky Sport Germany believe that if Werder are to fail to qualify for any kind of European football next season, it could sway Kruse’s mind toward leaving.

This season the 14-time German international has made 28 appearances across all competitions for Die Grün-Weißen in which he has scored nine goals and tallied 12 assists in 2506 minutes on the park.
