Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti has shared his thoughts on the ongoing debate with regard to what the Milanese clubs should do when it comes to the stadium.

At the end of last year the two clubs signed an agreement to work together on finding a solution for the future of the stadium whether that be remaining at current ground San Siro and renovating it or building an entirely new state-of-the-art ground and knocking San Siro down.

“For all those who love football, San Siro will be part of the history of world football,” Zanetti said.

“I hope that the right decision is made that will allow both clubs to grow and that San Siro will remain the Scala del Calcio.”

Recent reports have suggested that both clubs are edging toward the idea of building a new stadium. Milan have seemingly long held this view while Inter took their time before coming to this decision.
