Former Inter chief scout Massimiliano Mirabelli has revealed that he had agreed deals for Gabriel Jesus and Casemiro to join the Nerazzurri.

“I went to Brazil to watch Gabriel Jesus. I introduced myself to Palmeiras as an Italian who wanted to see their facilities. I met the player and booked an appointment with him for a later date.

“I returned to Italy and agreed a deal for €20 million, but an agent with links to the Nerazzurri interfered, wasted time and Manchester City were able to get him instead.”

He then went on to speak about Casemiro, who now plays a starring role in midfield for Spanish giants Real Madrid.

“I had agreed to sign Casemiro for €5 million, but Inter preferred to sign Yann M’Vila.”

To conclude, he spoke on Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa.

“They asked me what I thought about Gabigol. I replied: ‘I’m against it.’ You saw how that ended.”
