Former Lazio and Inter attacker Ruben Sosa has spoken with Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of this weekend’s game between his former employers.

“Lazio are doing great. They won the Rome derby, put Milan out in the cup and dominated both Fiorentina and Parma. It will be a good game and Inter have an ace up their sleeve,” the Uruguayan began before going on to explain quite what the ace is.

“Icardi is the ace up Inter’s sleeve. With him, Inter is superior to Lazio, without a doubt. If he is fit, he must play immediately, even with all the controversy which he was involved in, which I did not like.

“He has a contract with Inter. He disrespected the jersey, his teammates, the fans and the leaders of the club.”

Sosa, who spent three years at Inter between 1992-1995, concluded by speaking on whether he thinks both clubs can qualify for the Champions League.

“My heart tells me that Lazio and Inter can both finish in the top four, so does my brain. It would be great to see them both in the Champions League while Roma and Milan miss out.”
