Inter CEO Beppe Marotta stopped by Italian broadcaster DAZN to share his thoughts on the Serie A clash when Genoa host the Nerazzurri at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genova’s Marassi district.

The Nerazzurri boss underlined the importance to put all the drama of the past two months behind the club and move forward.

“From a professional point of view I think Icardi looked good, now the time has come to put everything behind us and look to the future with optimism. We have to be a team and win, without creating a culture of excuses, this is the message that we want to give.”

In conclusion Marotta was asked if his contribution was the deciding factor to broker a peace between all parties to which he replied: “In a club there are certain jobs, competence and professionalism in all the components. I give my support to the sporting side with my experience.”
