Inter man of the match Roberto Gagliardini has shared his delight following Inter’s 4-0 win over Genoa in which he grabbed himself a brace.

“I am happy with the result. We needed a result like this,” he insisted in an interview with broadcaster DAZN post-match.

“These are three golden points for us and I am happy to have scored not one but two goals as I do not normally score goals.

“From the beginning of the game we moved the ball quickly and it was good of us to score the first goal early and then things became even easier for us after their red card.”

He concluded the interview by speaking on Mauro Icardi, who made a return to action after almost two months out.

“We are all professionals and we have to think about the good of Inter. The other dynamics must not affect us, we must do our work and tonight we have done it well.”
