Roberto Gagliardini spoke with Inter TV following Inter’s 4-0 win over Genoa in which he scored his second brace of the second against the Rossoblu.
“I do not know why I always seem to score against Genoa but I am happy especially because two victories have came against them as a result,” he began.
“Every game has its own story and everything changes so it is not easy to say what is different compared to Sunday’s match.
“We were able to score early and then after Icardi scored the penalty, we managed to manage the game very well.”
Gagliardini then looked ahead to this weekend’s match at home to his former employers, Atalanta.
“They have been one of the best stories of the season. The game against them will be very difficult but we absolutely have to win it.”
In conclusion, the Italian international midfielder then explained why he ran to celebrate with Joao Mario following the first of his two goals.
“I hugged Joao Mario because he suffered a major loss a few weeks ago.”
