Jose Mourinho wants to return to Italy and has been in contact with both Inter and Roma according to a report from Telefoot.

The Portuguese manager famously led Inter to a treble during his tenure at the club and most recently managed Manchester United.

He has been out of work since the end of last year and is eager to make a return to management but Telefoot go on to state that it is unlikely to be with Inter, despite the contact.

This is because Inter, namely chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta, would prefer to bring in Antonio Conte to succeed current manager Luciano Spalletti at the end of the season.

As for Roma, Giallorossi president James Pallotta is eager to bring the two-time Champions League winning manager to the club.

The report from Telefoot goes on to conclude that a return to Italy is far more likely than joining Olympique Lyon or Bayern Munich, two other clubs who have been linked with the 56-year-old.
