Mauro Icardi has decided that he wishes to leave Inter in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Spanish newspaper Marca.
The Argentine striker made a goal-scoring return to the first team on Wednesday after close to two months out that were filled with controversy after he was stripped of the Inter captaincy.
As per the report, the 26-year-old could leave Inter for as little as €50 million in the Summer, just over half of his €110 million release clause that is in his current contract.
Prior to the controversy of the past few months, the parties had been locked in contract renewal talks and the report from Marca insists that Inter still wish to sign Icardi to a new deal at the club.
Currently under contract through to the end of the 2020/21 season, Icardi has made 29 appearances across all competitions this term for the Nerazzurri in which he has scored 16 goals and tallied four assists.
