Between today and tomorrow, Marcelo Brozovic will undergo medical tests to determine the extent of the injury that he sustained during yesterday’s match according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Croatian midfielder pulled up around 20 minutes into the goalless draw with Atalanta and was forced off the field as a result of his injury.

Soon after being replaced by Radja Nainggolan, the club confirmed that it was an injury to his right thigh.

Manager Luciano Spalletti confirmed post-match that Brozovic will almost certainly miss next weekend’s match away to Frosinone and the Milan based newspaper add that Brozovic is also at risk of missing out on the game with Roma too, a game that is likely to prove crucial in the race for Champions League qualification.

This season Brozovic has made no less than 38 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored twice and tallied one assist in 3186 minutes on the park.
