Former Milan and Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Montella shared his views on Inter’s goalless draw with Atalanta last night at San Siro as he appeared as a guest in the Sky Sport Calcio Club.
“Even without Zapata, Atalanta gave the impression that they could play on a par with Inter. They could have also won the game,” he began.
Montella made a quick judgement about the race for the Champions League race before returning to discuss last night’s encounter.
“The Champions League qualification quota has dropped because some teams have picked up fewer points.
“Inter immediately attacked Atalanta and I liked it, it was a fun game. Both teams could have won and the two coaches had very clear ideas.”
Montella concluded with a comment on Marcelo Brozovic and Matias Vecino: “Brozovic’s absence was felt as he is the one who organises things and gives fluidity to Inter. Vecino meanwhile seemed a bit like Perotta.”
