Between Luciano Spalletti’s sacking and Antonio Conte’s appointment, Inter could potentially be paying €60 million gross to managers over the next two years, according to a report from Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
It has long been rumoured that Spalletti will be moved on come the end of the season after two years in charge despite still having a few years left to run on his current deal with the club.
Former Italian national team manager Conte, as per many reports, is Inter’s preferred candidate to succeed the former Roma boss on the Inter bench.
Conte will earn a net salary of €10 million should he be the one chosen to replace Spalletti, a sum equivalent to €17.5 million gross per year.
Spalletti is still under contract with Inter for a further two years and paying him and his staff off would cost no less than €25 million gross spread across those two years.
Therefore, Inter could end up paying €35 million gross to Conte and €25 million gross to Spalletti and his coaching staff in the next two years.
