Frosinone striker Marcello Trotta has spoken on the Gialloblu’s survival hopes following their recent run of positive results ahead of next weeks clash at home to Inter.

“We have to believe that we can survive, we must work hard toward this,” he insisted in an interview with Radio Day.

“We have collected six points from six in the last two matches so we have to believe it is possible even if on Sunday at the Stadio Benito Stirpe we will have to try and get past Inter.”

Trotta, who is still looking for his first goal of the season having made 10 appearances in total, concluded by discussing Inter: “Inter is a very strong opponent and we should not be granting them anything.”

Heading into the game, 16 places and 34 points separate third placed Inter and 19th placed Frosinone. A win for Inter is absolutely essential for their Champions League qualification hopes while Frosinone will be eager to put some points on the board with them currently sitting seven points away from safety.
