Marcelo Brozovic will miss this weekend’s match against Frosinone and the match with Rome the following weekend due to injury according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Croatian midfielder picked up an injury during the goalless draw with Atalanta at the weekend and was forced to leave the field after just over 20 minutes. Shortly after exiting the field, Inter revealed that he had sustained a muscle injury to his right thigh.
Inter’s medical staff are hopeful that the 26-year-old could make a return to action for the game with Juventus on April 27 but will be unable to say definitively whether or not this is possible until next week, when he is due to undergo further testing to assess his condition.
With Brozovic out, Inter will need to find someone to deputise in his absence and as per the Milan based newspaper, Borja Valero will be tasked with filling in, at least for the game with Frosinone.
