Gabriele ‘Lele’ Oriali could be set to make a return to Inter during the Summer according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Regardless of who is on the bench next season, Inter wish to have a person in place who will act as the link between the team and the management.

There was a lot of talk that Oriali would arrive in this role last year but there were no conditions for him to return then and moreover, there is no guarantee that he would be open to coming now.

As per the Rome based newspaper, he is very attached to the work he does for the Italian national team alongside former Inter manager Roberto Mancini.

The club want someone with Nerazzurri DNA and therefore Marco Materazzi, Riccardo Ferri, Ivan Cordoba and Fabio Galante are all possible options for the role too.

All the options will be discussed shortly when Inter president Steven Zhang returns from his trip to his native China.
