Roma are to challenge Inter for the signature of Cagliari goalkeeper Alessio Cragno this Summer according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Giallorossi wish to replace current number one Robin Olsen after a series of mistakes this term and have identified Cragno as their number one target.
Inter have long courted Cragno as they look to find long-serving goalkeeper Samir Handanovic’s successor with the Slovenian due to turn 35-years-old over the Summer. Andrei Radu of Genoa, a player who Inter have a buy-back option on, has also been linked with a possible return to the Nerazzurri.
This season Cragno has made 33 appearances across all competitions for the Sardinian outfit in which he has conceded 46 goals and kept six clean sheets.
The Milan based newspaper report that Rome are also keeping tabs on Ajax and Cameroon star Andre Onana as a back-up in the event that they cannot land themselves Cragno.
