Former Inter midfielder Andy Van der Meyde believes that Inter need to bring Jose Mourinho back as manager with media speculation over the future of current manager Luciano Spalletti rife.
“Inter always has a lot of problems, they need to get José Mourinho back. He is the boss and no one else,” Van der Meyde remarked in an interview with juvenews.eu.
Spalletti, as per various reports, is expected to be moved on come the end of the season, largely down to the disappointing earlier than planned exits from the Champions League, Europa League and Coppa Italia.
Spalletti has been at the helm of Inter since 2017 and led them to Champions League qualification for the first time in a number of years in his debut campaign and looks set to lead Inter to qualification again this season.
That however will seemingly not be good enough with Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho’s names being strongly mentioned in connection with Spalletti’s post in the media.
