In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Genoa goalkeeper Andrei Radu has spoken on the speculation that Inter wish to activate their buy-back option but firstly he spoke on his development over the past 12 months.

“In the past year I have grown a lot on both a professional and psychological level. I must say thanks to my coaches, Alessio Scarpi and Stefano Raggio Garibaldi for this. They have done a fantastic job with me,” he began.

“There is a profound difference between Serie B and Serie A but playing in a stadium as big and full as the Ferraris is just what I had been hoping for since I was a child. That’s why in difficult moments I don’t fall over.”

He was then asked about the Inter return rumours.

“I don’t think about the future. I am not looking at the fact that Inter could bring me back. In my head I have only set goals for the club I currently play for. I want to improve further but I live in the present.”

To conclude he was asked about what he remembers from his Inter debut back in 2016.

“I was eighteen and sometimes I went to train with the first team. The day I was called into the squad, we had just won the Primavera Coppa Italia. I started on the bench and at one point Mancini told me to go an warm up.

“I wasn’t sure if he was talking to me. Murillo was then sent off and I remember thinking I was never going to get on but I made my debut.”
