Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti spoke with RSI.ch on the sidelines of a charity event in Switzerland for his charity the Pupi Foundation.
“Through the Pupi Foundation I try to continue transmitting those values that I transmitted during my playing career,” he began.
He then spoke on his role at Inter.
“There are so many plans to grow our club and I am very happy to be able to make my contribution. there are so many plans to grow our club and I’m very happy to be able to make my contribution.
“Many thought that I would be a coach but instead I preferred to have a 360-degree view of football, completely different from that of the player.
“In order to be ready for a position of great responsibility, I had to prepare and study.”
He also spoke on the family links to the country.
“The link with Switzerland? My brother Sergio played in Bellinzona and Locarno, but I live in Moltrasio, in the province of Como, so we are both very close to Ticino.”
