Inter defender Stefan de Vrij spoke with the gathered media in the mixed zone at the Stadio Benito Stirpe following Inter’s 3-1 away win over Frosinone earlier tonight.

“We are happy with the three points, but other important matches are waiting for us now,” the Dutchman, who was making his return to action after injury, started.

“After the first half, where we played well, we knew that the Canarini would come out stronger and with more pressure. We were not as good but we stuck to our game plan and in the end the victory was deserved.”

He concluded by speaking on the final few games of the season, starting with next weekend’s match at home to Roma.

“At this stage of the season, every game is decisive, we have an advantage over the other teams and we want to keep them there: next week we will challenge Roma, it will be a fundamental match.”
