Stefan de Vrij reflected on Inter’s 3-1 win over Frosinone which ensured Inter kept a decent gap on their opponents in the race for Champions League qualification.

“We suffered a little after they scored but we did well especially in the first half, scoring twice and moving the ball effectively,” he told Inter’s in house television channel Inter TV after the match.

“Now we have a very important match against Roma, a direct match. From here to the end of the season all of our matches will be fundamental.”

The Dutchman returned to action after a few weeks out injured and spoke on his condition.

“On a physical level I feel good. I worked for a week with the group, the injury is behind me.”

He concluded by speaking on if he feels this is the Inter he imagined he would be joining.

“Yes it is especially in the last period in particular we are playing well. We create opportunities but we have to grow in closing the game out but I’m happy for the performance. “
