Inter’s top midfield signing this Summer will seemingly come from abroad but the other midfield signing will come from within Italy according to a report from Tuttosport.

It is between Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini and Cagliari’s Nicolo Barella to be the player signed from within Italy. Pellegrini is understood to be favoured due to his lower price-tag.

Pellegrini has a €30 million release clause in his contract with the Giallorossi while Cagliari are reportedly demanding around €50 million for Barella’s signature.

Brescia’s Sandro Tonali has also been linked with Inter but the Turin based newspaper go on to detail that he is a separate case in himself.

As per the report, Inter plan to buy Tonali but loan him back to Brescia for a season in a bid to try and convince Brescia president Massimo Cellino to accept Inter’s offer over Juventus’. If Brescia are to be promoted to Serie A, Tonali would be able to continue his development in a familiar environment and get used to the higher level of football.
