Luciano Spalletti was quick to praise Frosinone for their efforts as Inter beat them 3-1 at the Stadio Benito Stirpe on Sunday night.

“We allowed Frosinone back into the match because we had the game in hand but we didn’t close it out. They always create problems for you and they have rightly scored a goal against us,” he began an interview with Radio Rai following the match.

He then spoke on why Ivan Perisic took the penalty.

“More than one of our players can take them. Until now, Icardi had always taken them. Icardi had a good game, he did what the team demanded of him and the positive result is partly due to him.”

He concluded by looking ahead to next week’s match against Roma.

“The match against Roma will be important as they are a direct competitor. We have seen that they have picked up some important results.”
