Matias Vecino, the scorer of Inter’s third goal in the 3-1 away win to Frosinone, spoke with Inter’s in house television channel Inter TV following the match at the Stadio Benito Stirpe.
“We were struggling a bit, but then in the end we managed to close the game out thanks to my goal,” he began.
The Uruguayan then spoke on the difference between playing with Borja Valero and Marcelo Brozovic.
“Playing with Borja Valero instead of Marcelo Brozovic means that the Spaniard tightens things up whereas Brozovic tends to look more ahead in the pitch. As for me, I adapt to whoever partner I play alongside.”
He concluded by insisting the team can still improve and the Champions League race.
“We have made some progress but we still have to improve in order to get closer to the teams ahead of us. With Spalletti and the players we have, we can continue to grow.
“In the Champions League race we have taken a nice advantage, but we cannot afford to lose that by losing against one of the main competitors, Roma. We will have to continue to win.”
