Inter vice president Javier Zanetti has spoken with reporters on the sidelines of an event in Como on how he feels when he watches his beloved Inter.

“When I watch Inter, I always get the desire to return to the field but now I am a supporter. I want the team to win and do good,” he is quoted as saying by TuttoMercatoWeb.

Zanetti was then asked what he thought of alleged enemies Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic embracing after the Croatian’s goal against Frosinone from a penalty, something Icardi let him take.

“To achieve great things we always need the strength of the group and I believe that, right now, the team are proving that.”

The Argentine spent just shy of 20 years on the Nerazzurri books as a player and is the current record appearance holder for the club. Since his retirement in 2014, Zanetti has fulfilled the role of vice president at the club.
