Marcelo Brozovic has started running again in training but it is almost impossible for him to be ready to return against Roma this weekend according to a report from Sky Sport.

The Croatian midfield maestro sustained a muscle injury during the goalless draw with Atalanta a few weeks back and he missed the 3-1 win over Frosinone this past weekend.

Borja Valero, who was drafted in against the Canarini to replace him also picked up an injury and he was forced to leave the field at around the 70th minute on Sunday.

Despite initial fears, the injury does not seem as bad and the broadcaster report that he did not have any testing this morning when training began which is a further good sign.

It does however remain to be seen if the veteran Spanish midfielder will be available for selection for the crucial match against the Giallorossi at San Siro.
