Roma director Francesco Totti has been in contact with Antonio Conte to to see if he has any interest in becoming the Roma manager starting next season according to a report from La Repubblica.

The Giallorossi are dreaming of being able to bring Conte onto the bench but they face competition from both Inter and Milan, both of whom have also taken steps toward the former Italian national team manager and can rely on larger budgets to try and convince him.

After a couple seasons in England with Chelsea, Conte is understood to want to return to Italy where he has previously managed Juventus among others.

Next week could be decisive for all clubs in for Conte with a decision expected from the Premier League arbitration board on the severance pay that he is due from the Stamford Bridge club, who he left last Summer having won a Premier League title and FA Cup with during his tenure.
