Three days before Inter’s Serie A clash with Roma, Nerazzurri midfielder Roberto Gagliardini spoke about the challenge at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district to Inter TV.

“It is one of those games that is worth double the points because Roma is a direct rival so winning on Saturday not only means adding three points but also taking three points away from the Giallorossi, which would give us a huge advantage.”

“Then we have Juventus the following weekend,  it’s always a big occasion but we must always aim to win. Winning would be a major step, so it’s important to start well, but there are six more games after that, so we have to stay focused and give our all. We only have a small advantage and the teams behind us will also want to take as many points as possible. It’s all about management now. We must step out onto the pitch with the aim to win.”

Finally, Gagliardini commented on Roma’s current form, coming from two consecutive wins against Sampdoria and Udinese: “Roma have endured some difficult times this season and then they decided to change the coach and now they have won their last two games so we have to be extra careful.”
