Inter are considering sending goalkeeper Ionut Radu on loan to Roma next season, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 21-year-old has impressed for Genoa this year and is expected to return to Inter in the summer, who can buy the Romanian back for €10 million.

However, the Nerazzurri are likely to continue with Samir Handanovic in goal next season and therefore want Radu to gain further top-flight experience elsewhere.

Roma wanted to sign Radu as part of the deal that took Radja Nainggolan to Inter last summer, but Piero Ausilio refused to sanction the swap.

“It should be made clear that Inter don’t wish to sell Radu to Roma permanently,” the Milanese paper reported today.

“They don’t want to a young talent like Radu, but they believe it might be useful for him to continue his development in an even more demanding environment than there is at Genoa.”

Inter face Roma in a key match for Champions League qualification on Saturday and remain interested in signing midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Pellegrini has a release clause worth €30 million and talks over a new deal have stalled in recent weeks, giving both Ausilio and Beppe Marotta hope of securing the Italian.

Luciano Spalletti is keen on the 22-year-old and already made him a target last summer.
