Nicolas Alejandro Tagliafico is one of the many surprises from Ajax that is enchanting all of Europe with their football and according to several sources, the Argentinian fullback is one of Inter’s targets for next season.
Our colleagues at FcInterNews interviewed wthe player’s agent, Ricardo Schlieper, in order to further understand the situation.
Can we say that your client is currently one of the best in the world in his position?
“Yes, without a doubt. He is a consistent player for his club, the national team, and in Europe where Ajax has established themselves as one of the big teams this season. For all of these reasons, it is easy to understand why he is considered one of the best players in his role.”
In Italy there are rumors that Inter wants the player, what do you think of the Nerazzurri?
“Inter is a great club, 24 years ago, together with my partner Giovanni Branchini, we brought Javier Zanetti. I imagine Inter, just like all the great Italian teams, are aiming to put an end to Juventus’ recent reign.”
Would the Nerazzurri be a welcome destination for your client?
“Inter and Italian football in general are always an attractive destination for Argentinian players. Let us not forget that we are Italians, who speak Spanish. Everything is very familiar, it’s just like being at home. As a league, it is a bit distant from where it was in the 90’s, but there are still some top clubs.”
What kind of price tag have Ajax set for the player?
“They have not set a price because they do not want to sell him. We will see how the market progresses.”
Has there been any contacts with Inter or any other Italian team?
“The management of our players in Italy is handled by Branchini. We must wait for the appropriate time before we start looking for his next destination. We will see what happens.”
