Inter coach Luciano Spalletti is considering starting with Portuguese international midfielder Joao Mario, when the Nerazzurri host Roma in the Serie A tonight at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, with kick-off scheduled for 20.30 CET.

According to Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Spalletti has not yet decided who to play next to Uruguay international midfielder Matias Vecino who will play.

“Brozovic is recovering from his injury and will play against the Italian champions Juventus, but even if he would have liked to have been able to play tonight, Luciano Spalletti decided not to risk anything. In his place, there are three players who are all fit and who could complete the midfield duo by playing next to Vecino, namely Borja Valero, Gagliardini and Joao Mario.”

“During yesterday’s pre-match press conference, Spalletti spoke very highly off the Portuguese midfielder, explaining that he could play him in a deeper role. Does this mean that Inter could play a 4-3-3 with Nainggolan dropping deeper too? This is a possibility but no final decision has been made yet.”

The Corriere dello Sport believes that Spalletti will line-up as follows:

Inter (4-2-3-1): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, Milan Skriniar, Kwadwo Asamoah; Matias Vecino, Joao Mario; Matteo Politano, Radja Nainggolan, Ivan Perisic; Lautaro Martinez.
